Simply put:  Using insights from community research, evidence from practice and literature, and stakeholder consultations, we help you develop new strategies and approaches to achieving your goals. TNC has experience in designing, pilot testing and implementing new program interventions, social policies and service delivery systems.

Technically speaking:  Social service sectors have become increasingly interested in pursuing collective, community-level impact. This is a notable departure from systems that, in the past, have been composed of a fairly disconnected set of programs and services. In order to achieve meaningful system and community-level, extensive planning, facilitation, strategic research and evaluation are needed.

At TNC, we help organizations make better use of different kinds of evidence as they plan and design programs or systems. We provide coaching and training on evidence based practice, and assist with program design and development. We also facilitate internal planning processes and community engagement exercises. We provide these services to a wide range of public sector organizations that vary in size and complexity.

TNC has worked closely with many grant making organizations, umbrella groups, and government departments to develop plans for community impact.  Our work has included the development of strategic plans, community impact plans, policy positions, and systems maps.  Our goal is to facilitate community dialogue, action, and systems changes that ultimately benefit community level outcomes.
