Evaluation of Gender-Based Violence Prevention Guidelines and Benchmarks: Increasing Knowledge and Confidence Among Educators

TNC led a two-pronged research and evaluation project for SIECCAN in support of WAGE funding. The funding was to develop and implement sexual health education guidelines and benchmarks for the prevention of gender-based violence. TNC completed a literature review that explored the implicit and explicit connections between gender-based violence and sexual health education. This review laid groundwork that contributed to SIECCAN’s development of resources, along with in-depth expert and youth consultations. TNC evaluated the reach of the resources, increase in knowledge and confidence among educators (K-12) who implemented the resources, and new sector partnerships and collaborations that resulted from the project.
